COVID-19 Flexible Booking/Cancellation Policy
We have introduced and trialled a new 5-Point COVID-19 Flexible Booking/Cancellation Policy which is structured as follows:
Reserve: Place the Reservation
Monitor: Monitor any COVID-19 Restrictions that occur in the Run-Up to the Reservation that affect, a) the Region being travelled from, and, b) the Region of the Vacation Rental being travelled too. Tools to assist in doing this can be found here.
Confirm: In the 4 Weeks or more prior to the Arrival Date, determine the Date at which the Reservation can be either:
a) Confirmed as Going Ahead, or,
b) Confirmed as Needing to Be Cancelled.
This Confirmation Date will normally be the last Government Announcement Date/s upon which Restrictions affecting the Reservation will be announced as well as the date/s they come into force. If the Confirmation Date is going to be less than 7 days prior to arrival then please email us at so we can work with you and explore options available. Point To Note: The second and final balancing payment for your stay is set to be auto-charged to your payment card 21 days prior to arrival - if there is uncertainty of the reservation viability as this date approaches please email us so we may manually disable the charge if need be as the situation is monitored.
Reschedule: If the booking needs to be cancelled due to COVID-19 we can work with you to reschedule your stay and can do this multiple times if necessary free of charge. Point to Note: Pre-COVID the Deposit Payment was usually 30% of reservation total. The new COVID-Deposit is reduced down to only 10% of reservation total. This Deposit Payment will be carried over to your Rescheduled dates - it does not need to be paid again for Rescheduled dates.
Cancel: If Rescheduling the reservation is not possible then a refund will be issued within 10 days of the reservation departure date unless the departure date is more than 28 days from the date of cancellation. If the departure date is more than 28 days from the date of cancellation the refund will be issued within 10 days from the date of cancellation.
Point to Note: normally, as the balancing reservation payment is not paid unless the booking is going ahead, the only payment you will have made will have been the new low Deposit Payment of 10% which is refundable for COVID-19 cancellations.
Point to Note: The New Policy outlined above comes into effect on the 1st Jan 2021 and applies to bookings made on and beyond that date.
